Danantara Quietly Enters Capital Market, Here are Its Stock Picks

Published on January 29, 2026, by CNN Indonesia

Jakarta, CNN Indonesia – BPI Danantara has apparently invested in several stocks traded on the Indonesian capital market. Danantara Chief Investment Officer (CIO) Pandu Sjahrir confirmed that Danantara has been entering the stock market daily.

“We’ve invested. But we’ve been keeping it quiet. Because, you know, the market,” Pandu said while speaking at the Economic Outlook 2026 event held by the Prasasti Center at the Ritz Carlton, Jakarta, on Thursday (29/01), as quoted by CNBC Indonesia.

As a company executive, Pandu revealed the criteria for stocks selected by the investment management institution during the Prabowo Subianto administration.

For Indonesian stocks, Pandu continued, Danantara will look for stocks with good fundamentals. Furthermore, the company will also consider the liquidity and value of companies Danantara will invest in.

“We also have to choose good values. So, fundamentals, liquidity, and value. Fundamentally, we have to look at those three things,” he explained.

The Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) closed in the red today. The index closed at 8,232 on Thursday afternoon (29/01).
