Sovereign Wealth Fund Daya Anagata Nusantara (Danantara) Indonesia stated that there was no formal agreement with PT Sentul City Tbk (BKSL) regarding the development of a healthcare-focused special economic zone.

Chief Investment Officer (CIO) Danantara Indonesia Pandu Sjahrir said the circulating information is a third-party interpretation based on market analysis and is not an official announcement.

“Currently, there is no formal agreement between the two parties,” Pandu said in a written statement on Monday, August 11, 2025.

As a state investment fund management institution, Pandu emphasised that each of Danantara’s strategic investments is made through a rigorous governance process and a comprehensive feasibility study. Such a process includes evaluating national needs, aligning with government policies, analysing economic and social benefits, and conducting a financial and risk feasibility test.

“All of this process was meant to ensure that every project is not only feasible in terms of business, but also brings a significant positive impact to the economy and Indonesian people,” he said.

Pandu said Danantara has a mandate to support national strategic projects that will contribute to economic growth, increased competitiveness, and equitable development in priority sectors such as healthcare infrastructure, energy, transportation, and technology.

“We are committed to conveying every important development through official channels in a timely manner, so that the public and stakeholders receive accurate and reliable information,” he said.
