Bisnis.com, JAKARTA — Chief Executive Officer of Daya Anagata Nusantara (BPI Danantara) Rosan Roeslani said the Giant Seal Wall development project has attracted the attention of several international investors.
He said the investment interest came from China, European countries such as the Netherlands, and Japan.

According to Rosan, two Chinese companies have expressed their interest to join the Giant Sea Wall project development.
“Two large companies from China want to take part. They are experienced in making big sea walls in China. We are invited to see sea walls in Japan by local companies there,” he said.
Rosan added that it is up to the authority that manages Giant Sea Wall project to follow up on those leads. Rosan said several companies have sent their teams to conduct exploration.
“I let the authority to follow up. Authority has a say on the LOI [letter of intent] while I was just being a bridge so far,” he said.
Rosan, however, declined to name the two Chinese companies.

“This project covers a considerable distance, if I’m not mistaken, 500 km, from Banten to East Java to Gresik, and the estimated cost is US$80 billion,” Prabowo said.

Prabowo named Didit Herdiawan Ashaf as Head of the Java Pantura Management Authority Agency. The inauguration took place at the Merdeka Palace in Jakarta on Friday (22/8).
Didit, who currently serves as Deputy Minister of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries, explained that the agency’s primary task and function is to carry out the construction of a giant sea wall in the Java Coastal Management Authority area, from Banten to Gresik.
He said, the project is expected to anticipate ecosystem issues and protect coastal communities from the threat of tidal flooding and environmental damage.
“The main task and function of the agency is to carry out sea wall construction activities in the northern coast of Java to avoid problems related to the ecosystem, especially for the local community,” Didit told Bisnis after his inauguration at the Presidential Palace complex on Monday (25/8).
