Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – Danantara Indonesia is collaborating with Crédit Agricole Corporate and Investment Bank (Crédit Agricole CIB) to establish a strategic cooperation framework to accelerate investment and sustainable development in various priority sectors in Indonesia.

The collaboration is carried out through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). The signing took place during the Indonesia-France Business Forum, which was held in conjunction with French President Emmanuel Macron’s state visit to Indonesia.

Danantara Indonesia Chief Investment Officer Pandu Sjahrir said this agreement reflects a shared commitment to mobilizing capital and expertise to support Indonesia’s long-term economic transformation agenda.

This MoU establishes a collaborative framework to identify, design, and finance investments aligned with Danantara Indonesia’s mandate to promote sustainable economic growth. Both parties agreed to explore investment opportunities in strategic sectors prioritized by the Indonesian government.

This collaboration covers renewable energy, with a focus on the development and financing of clean and sustainable energy projects, downstream sectors such as minerals and related value chains, and the digital infrastructure sector, particularly the development of data centers and digital ecosystems.

Furthermore, the food and agriculture sector, through increased productivity, logistics, and food security, as well as other sectors aligned with the evolving strategic vision of Danantara Indonesia and Crédit Agricole CIB.

Under this strategic partnership, Danantara Indonesia and Crédit Agricole CIB will establish a joint working group to identify and evaluate potential collaborations. This partnership will also leverage Crédit Agricole CIB’s global network and expertise in sustainable finance, asset financing, and international markets.

“Collaboration with Crédit Agricole CIB not only provides access to an international financial network but also demonstrates a shared vision for achieving sustainable and inclusive development,” he said.

Jean-Francois Deroche, Senior Regional Officer for Asia Pacific at Crédit Agricole CIB, stated that Indonesia is increasingly playing a significant role on the global stage. Since beginning operations in Indonesia in 1968, Crédit Agricole CIB has forged strong relationships with the government, corporate actors, and financial institutions in the country.

“This strategic partnership with Danantara Indonesia is an important step in supporting economic growth and sustainable development in Indonesia. We are embarking on a journey that is expected to have a tangible impact on the real economy and the energy transition, two key priorities in our Bank’s strategy,” he said.
