ICW: Trends of Criminal Investigation Against Corruption in State-Owned Enterprises

Published on April 21, 2022, by Indonesia Corruption Watch

The Indonesia Corruption Watch (ICW) released a study titled “Trends of Criminal Investigation Against Corruption in State-Owned Enterprises in 2016-2021” in a bid to register corruption cases among SOEs under investigation by the law enforcer throughout 2016-2021.

The study is intended to map out the critical points of corruption practices within SOEs. Moreover, this study began from an assumption that the goal of creating SOEs is  for these enterprises to bear the function of public service and as the source of state revenue. Still, corruption remains as the main hurdle to reach such an ideal aspiration for SOE.
