Danantara Acquires 99.9% of BNI Asset Management

KONTAN.CO.ID – JAKARTA. State-owned lender PT Bank Negara Indonesia Tbk (BBNI) transferred its ownership in PT BNI Asset Management (BNI AM) to PT Danantara Asset Management (DAM). The transaction was between PT BNI Sekuritas (BNIS) and Danantara Asset Management on April 1, 2026.

“The transaction between BNIS, as a controlled company of BBNI, and DAM, in the form of a Conditional Share Sale and Purchase Agreement signed on April 1, 2026, in relation to the proposed sale 39,960,000 shares in BNI AM owned by BNIS to PT DAM, which will result in an acquisition of BNI AM,” a disclosure to the Indonesia Stock Exchange on Thursday (2/4/2026), read.

The number of shares to be transferred to Danantara is equivalent to 99.9% of the total issued and paid-up capital of BNI Asset Management, with a nominal value of Rp1,000 per share. The affiliated transaction value is Rp359.64 billion.

Combining assets owned by banking companies under Danantara will create a champion with strong competitiveness. They can have innovative products and services, providing optimal added value for all stakeholders.

“The affiliated transaction is expected to enhance business synergy and strengthen existing capabilities, thereby delivering broader and optimal benefits,” the disclosure read.
