Danantara Includes Gojek and Grab in the National Electric Motorcycle Project

Published by CNN Indonesia on August 21, 2026

Danantara Indonesia is set to involve ride-hailing companies Gojek and Grab in the National Electric Motorcycle Project, or Molinas, CNN Indonesia reported.

Ardy Muawin, managing director of industrialization at Danantara Indonesia, said the government is not only interested in selling electric motorcycles through Molinas, but in building its entire ecosystem.

Danantara invited Grab, Gojek, and logistics companies such as Pos Indonesia and J&T to map out electric motorcycle demand. Ardy concluded that the operational cost of an electric motorcycle rider can be Rp10,000 to Rp20,000 per day lower than a gasoline-powered motorcycle.
